How do you guys find the date font? I know that the watch looks great but maybe its just me but i find that the font is a little thicker than the gen one.

I'm not that picky... Who the heck will notice a 0.1mm difference, com'on... :)

@GenTLe , thanks for the info and feedback. Great stuffs and I am waiting for the ZF V2 when it release (with extra deco plate) Estimate Mid DEC, YL version already out.

Sorry guys, not been active recently in RWG to post update. Here's is the latest news.

I picked up one of these on M2M over the road. It's a beaut. Can't wait to have it in my hands! It's just landed in the country according to the tracking number. Yay!

Any thoughts on the gold numerals vs the black? Trying to decide what looks better for work, and if you have any insight on why you chose that over the regular black it would be really helpful! Love the look you have on both...convinced me to buy one!

Sorry, meant the more blue numbers (white face).

I settled on the blue, and it is for work. They're all great, but the contrast of the gold numerals with a silver case was something I thought I needed to see in person first before committing to. Im sure you can't go wrong with either one though. Just my two cents.

Simple solution - buy all the variations. I've got the blue lettering one on order now. Need to find a nice blue strap to compliment it and it will be a nice weekend watch. Or a nice work piece when I'm feeling that little bit more flamboyant!

I received mine yesterday from a M2M seller, it's a 5001-12

IMG_20160113_18561701_zps4xooa6uv.jpg

it's a very nice rep, how u can see in the next photos the date is centered and have a nice font.

The AR on all plexy/crystal is good and the time is very easy to see in all condition (not in the dark :P)

It's my first watch with this type of clasp and I like it!! The bracelet is too thin for me, I prefer a taller leather like the Breitling Gen bracelet.

For the color I think a dark blue was be better than black.

For the backside, is not transparent like other 5001...i don't like that the simbol is not positioned like the gen (haven't the image oriented to 12oclock).

Anyone know if I can correct the orientation? And know if it have a cloned movement like other?

I'm very happy of this rep!!! :D

Looks good.

If the caseback is screw on, you only have to turn it through 90 degrees. I'd take it off first, silicone grease the O ring and then make sure it's seated well. Then screw it on. Much as it's tempting to leave the IWC sticker on, I'd take it off. You'll have more chance of screwing it on properly.

You'll need a sticky ball or a caseback tool. Caseback tool would be better. Make sure it's adjusted snugly otherwise you'll scratch the back.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Also the gens have the pic on case oriented in any direction. It depends on how you unscrew and close the back again.

The movement is most part an 2824, with some parts similar to a 7750. And: it is not bad!

I had a earlier one of these in white, looking at these pictures i wish i had kept it.

Mine had poor date alignment and a noisy rotor, are these any better now ?

If higginsd says the gens have their casebacks in different alignments you better believe it.

Know he does :yoda:.

By the way, has someone noticed that the new big pilot with center second, 28800bph movement (derived from the 5001 new one) and FUNCIONAL power reserve IN THE RIGHT place is out? ;)
