Luthier 1 Posted March 9, 2009 From last week there's 20 policemen patrolling between dealers counters all day long every day. No more replicas there. All dealers offices from 2nd floor were ordered to leave premises. They're gone. Sad news...
KBH 7 Posted March 9, 2009 Wow. That doesn't seem possible. Wonder where they are all going to go. Hope this isn't a nationwide crackdown.

KBH 7 Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) I find this hard to believe since large % of what it sold in the GZ watch market is legal. Parts, movements, cases, etc. EDIT: I suppose you could mean they just kicked out the replica dealers. Edited March 9, 2009 by KBH

I said - "NO MORE REPLICAS THERE". All other products - legit chinese watches, parts, etc - still there.

Don't worry, Lawrence gets his reps directly from factory, not from watch market, so, you are safe.

Won't affect Lawrence or the other major dealers. Might affect people like Narikaa, though...

trailboss99 988 Posted March 10, 2009 Not good news I'm afraid. This from Time4direct at RWI: This has been going on for a week or 2 . Also Hong Kong is a problem for shipments now I know 1 Bangkok dealer that had $300K worth seized at weekend in Hong Kong.I think it's serious to be honest. They are certainly making their presents felt far more than normal . I would imagine loads will fall by the wayside due to this most small dealers will have extreme difficulty in obtaining stock on a daily basis only dealers with stock will survive if it is a permanent thing. I also heard they are putting about a 1000 cutoms officers in the main sorting office but thats only hearsay and not confirmed CRAP, CRAP, CRAP!!!!!!! Today I got more news - Match 15th declared "A Day against replicas" in China. From March 15 to April 15 there will be police raids, searches, arrests, etc. It's regarding watch markets around the country only. So, big dealers shouldn't care. I guess nobody will touch factories.
