Seiko 7002 Soxa Blue Dolphin dial.............

 

So my latest ebay win has arrived. A Postman called yesterday with it but my dog refused to open the door as she only likes one particular postman (he has one of those massive big holes in his ear) and none of the others.

So I took her on an hours walk tonight after work to the post office depot to pick it up.

 

First impressions were "its a bit small" however i loved the dial color and realised i had been wearing a big 46mm watch earlier which always distorts my mind and now i have worn it for a bit it seems fine. It's dark here so just a few quick shots - i have taken the new OEM Seiko rubber off and put it on a old SS bracelet, modded the end links a touch with my dremel and they are a bit rough but this is a beater and they are good enough.

 

 

Mods and new parts:-

 

· Dial – New Seiko Dolphin Light Blue Dial lumed

· Chapter Ring – new sterile matching Light blue

· Hands – new custom 'MarineMaster' hands lumed

· Bezel Insert – new Black & Silver 'Submariner' bezel insert

· Crystal – new scratch-resistant mineral crystal installed

· Date window - with rarer 'White on Black' Display

· Strap – new Seiko Z22 ridged and vented Diver's rubber strap

· Spring Bars – new Fat Seiko Spring bars

· Case – fully polished

· Movement – serviced, regulated and tested

Looks fantastic. I'm currently battling with the idea of letting go of a few reps to get a black bay mod on a SNZH55. This only makes it more tempting
