jmshen 0 Posted January 29, 2016 My slow progress project. Got all the indices on (with only one glue smudge) but screwed up the center chrono second alignment a bit in doing so. Still it's very rewarding work.

Kcore 0 Posted January 30, 2016 Wishing everyone a very healthy, happy & prosperous New Year! I've just started saving up for a tourbillon watch, mind sharing your experience with the brand and the watch? servicing? problems? Glad to. Minorva is a top quality Chinese watch manufacturer who specialize in tourbillions for what I'll call, the "every day person," similar to what Rolex's intention was for the Tudor line. I've owned this beauty for about 3 years and haven't had a spot of trouble with it. All I've had to do to date was replace the original strap which was good quality leather with the custom gloss blue gator it now sits on. It's part of my regular rotation as all my watches are, modern and vintage alike. What I own I wear My regulateur is a genuine Flying ( Liaoning) Tourbillion that can be purchased direct from Minorva (ShenZhen Jialong Watch Industry Co.) for a little over $1,000 USD but they do come up for sale now and again on ebay and both gen & rep watch forums. IMO, for what TDs are charging these days for a rep tourby, for a few dollars more I'd take a gen Minorva any day. With regard to servicing, I have a watchsmith that I've used for years who is versed in tourbillion servicing and repair but even though the watch is a gen, in my experience, there aren't many that will work on tourbillions. Best of luck on saving and purchasing a tourbillion, gen or rep. It's a truly amazing and beautiful timepiece/machine and can be mesmerizing to watch.
