Popperini 17,842 Posted May 15, 2020 Thought I'd give the McQueen a little airing. It's in the queue for vintagizing at some point, but it's too pretty to leave it in the watch box till I get round to that!

Yeah, I've noticed that, backing up the time sets it right but it eventually slips again so it's something with the pinion I'm guessing. And it's losing about 5 mins every couple hours so I'll need to lift the hood and poke around in there when I get a chance. Or just wear it like a blonde and not worry about whether it does correct maths or not

I have always wanted to get one of the originals (rep) but am fully expectant of being underwhelmed by the 40mm (the Steiny is a 42). In case I do decide to try, is there any particular factory version you'd recommend right out of the box?

I got this one from Josh, about a year ago - $148 with 2813. (M at Marvellous Replica can probably do it for $100.) It does look smaller than a 5 digit Sub. The case dimensions are the same, but I guess the low profile bezel and the small crown tucked in between the lugs reduce its visual footprint.
