After trying to make my first rep purchase by credit card, I got rather frustrated when my CC company kept refusing the charge ( foreign transaction ) and then getting a call from their fraud department several hours later. After going through this twice, they suggested using their "virtual" card feature. This feature allowed me to create a unique 16 digit CC number linked directly to my real card. I could also specify maximum amount as well as duration the card could be used for. Since I had taken special steps to create this "virtual" card, the transaction went through without a problem. I recommend making the maximum amount several dollars more than the expected charge to cover any exchange rate issues. Now that I am aware of this feature, I will use it for all internet transactions in the future. It minimizes the chance of your transaction being refused by the CC company, as well as minimizing your risk in the event you are dealing with a scam internet vendor.
