Tuesday sees this seldom worn TT Breitling Navitimer Chronograph acquired through M2M quite a while ago. Good looking piece with sparkling sunburst blue dial; very nice touches and finishes. I really should put this into the main rotation. Have a leather strap version of this, too. dave:

Just disgustingly BEAUTIFUL. (Disgustingly so because it's not on MY wrist.) Wear this treasure often and post pics so I can envy you from afar, heh!

Dammit, stop tempting me with these...

Got any details on this? Not something I think I'd ever wear, but looks complex!

It is extremely complex!

Here is how it works:

Hour, minute, second are normal

Date is normal.

NOTE the top inner semi-circle:

This is marked from low tide on the left (at 9) to low tide at right (at 3) - note the L on each side and the H in top center

The ball inside the semi-circle rises with the incoming tide (until 12) and then descends to low tide at 3.

The ball inside the semi-circle notes the true moon phase.

The ball inside the semi-circle is either solid (meaning that the moon is visible in the sky) or has stripes (meaning that the moon is not visible in the sky)

Therefore, in the above pic: It is 11:02, with the tide ebbing 2 hours past peak. It is showing an almost full moon, waning, and visible, but note that I have not set that properly.

The outer bezel rotates counter clockwise and is used to set the desired tide for the destination you are going to. 90% of the time, when I am out fishing, I just leave the bezel at 12 as shown and pay no attention, as after I am done I go home.

That is awesome :B): Thank you for taking the time to reply!

+1000 Very much appreciate the education. Indeed, your watch is truly fascinating and beautiful.

Another ebay catch about 5 yrs ago. Came with box, guarantee and instructions on what I think was its original steel bracelet.

37.5 X 11.5 mm.

A 3 piece case where the flat plate mid case Is sandwiched by screwing the caseback to the main body.

The top pusher is to start, stop and reset the chrono. The bottom crown is normal function.

Dates I believe from early 70's though I can't find another like it although I've seen similar in a different case.

Very basic looking movement that keeps good time.

Currently the chrono hand is not free and travels with the minute hand:-(.
