p-lund 0 Posted February 1, 2011 hi ! i´m going to buy a decent looking daytona with quartzmovement, and i wonder: is the big chronohand only moving when chronofunction is used on quartz chrono movements in general(i only want the subdial to count the seconds, and the chronohand not moving) ? one dealer said they work in pair(wich i of course don´t want), and another said the subdial is counting seconds, and the chronohand is not moving. these two different answers has left me in coufusion, so i don´t know if i´m gonna buy. does anyone have the answer about these quartz chrono movements ? thanks. greg_r 81 Posted February 1, 2011 If you buy the 21J version, both hands will move together. Quartz or A7750 versions the chrono hand will only run when started.
