so what movement should i choose? 3135 or 2836? read a little about them but still not sure if its worth the extra money.

If you are going to replace the movement with a gen one: then 3135.

If you are going to keep it as it is, definitively asian 2836.

Toro had them on offer, not sure anymore. I had the V6 no date. Was excellent.

I think it varies from td to td how they call it - no date has to be V3 - i think so

(but toro call it V6 other not) ;)

There is an extensive review over RWI:

https://www.replica-...ubC-v6s-Thread/

But it's down now.

That may be the most intense and thorough review I've ever seen done on any watch. It took me 25 minutes to read all that. Wow. Impressed with the level of scrutiny involved, but ultimately, unless you're trying to fool a TD/jeweler, you shouldn't worry about 90% of the stuff in that thread

That's exactly what I was thinking I'm awaiting a a2836 v6s from puretime and that thread made me think I've got the wrong watch but tbh I'm planning to keep it as an 'out of the box' rep. No franken project or modifying intended.

Are these actually waterproof?

Search Waterproof, and you'll find there's no such thing. Most are 100 metres DWR. (Distance Water Resist). That means there should be no water ingress whatever, as long as you keep the watch 100 metres from the nearest moisture.

So no swimming with them on?

Only way is to have it pressure tested after you receive it. Then you may be able to swim. I've had lots pressure tested. (My local Timpsons does vacuum testing in front of you for a donation in their charity box.) Some passed, some failed. Never bothered having them greased etc. Just stick to the ones that passed if I'm near water.

Or use my Invictas. Both passed easily, and if they eventually leak, it won't bother me.

New Submariners from the noob maker v6s

Completely new construction case, new bracelet, this time focusing more on the details. Dial painting remains same.

1 Updated bezel engravement, much better than the v6, the color was too dark silver, now is more light

2 The pearl on the bezel is thinner than on the v6, much more closer to the gen

3 Bracelet SEL fitting better than V6, before the was a tiny space, not a perfect fit like now

4 Clasp LOGO much more better

5 Case parts now can fit gen bezel, for SA3135 version can fit gen movement, and dial too

bezel pearl crystal has more angle and fit in more thinner steel ring.

For the GREEN one there is a new dial with SUM finishing

6 Bezel pearl crystal has more angle and fit in more thinner steel ring

8 Rehaut is more all aligner, closer to perfection and more deeply engraved , also correct font match same as the gen

9 Inside the LUG all markers are engraved same as the gen, not by laser as before.

10 SA3135 is amazing, all correct position adjusting time and date works smooth

But it's down now.

I was gonna pull the trigger either on a V6s or a DeepSea D Blue V6S, but after reading that the stem breaks easily and leaves the movement useless... I am re considering it....

Thè sub is available with 2836 too (look Toro's site, search v6s)

But after seeing the difference between the SA3135 and the A2836 ( the bezel teeth for example) it really makes me think about pulling that one...
