montblancrep 0 Posted April 28, 2016 Does anyone know if the zf has a 3 jewels for sec@6?making it more reliable?
amedman 2 Posted September 27, 2016 Just a 2nd on the gen dial mod on these. I have a black gen dial I put in my 3714. Really the only modification I did but it made it nearly gen like without the steep franken cost (>$1000) of other 3714 builds. The finish and paint on the gen dial is different than the rep. As Kenny said, its hard to describe but it is both matte and shinny/sparkly depending on the light. The rep dial is flat and lifeless in comparison. You can find gen dials if you look for less than $300. It makes a big difference.
kennycoder 97 Posted September 28, 2016 Does anyone know if the zf has a 3 jewels for sec@6?making it more reliable? Movement in SWF version doesn't have 3 jewel mod. It's completely re-done in terms of gear transfer. Only has one extra gear and it's jeweled too. Silky smooth sweep on these. Dunno about ZF, haven't had one. porschespeedster 19 Posted January 12, 2017 came with a necropost to see if anyone has anything to say about the long-term reliability of this movement... any of you guys still rocking this watch 1 year in?
JSJ 0 Posted January 13, 2017 came with a necropost to see if anyone has anything to say about the long-term reliability of this movement... any of you guys still rocking this watch 1 year in? Yes, I bought the watch in the OP from kennycoder. It's running fine after a fair bit of use.
kennycoder 97 Posted January 16, 2017 * UPDATE * First of all thanks to chris3007 from RWI for the movement teardown thread. After seeing the movement completely stripped down, ZF went even deeper in terms of cloning IWC's 79350 movement. Just look at this (rep movement): And now let's take a look at the genuine gear transfer (yes this pic is missing secs@6 gear transfer module):
