Fading Rose Gold Rider tabs - re-plate?

Recommended Posts

Lenny63

Hi All

I'm lucky enough to own a stunning Breitling B01 in Two-tone rose gold/silver and it's a keeper !

The rose gold I believe is plated, however it is starting to fade on the rider tabs on the bezel through wear and becoming a brown colour.

See rider tab at '6' for an example

The rider tabs are removable, can these be re-plated? Is this expensive? Any of our modders or members know who completes?

I have a Timewalker chrono rose gold rep and it started to be violet/brownish on the lugs. I wore it just like 10 days in total, so it couldn't be fading.

It was actually a bit of oxidation due to sweat I think. I bought a couple gold shining rags (not abrasive) and it came back to its beauty in less then 10 seconds.

You may give it a try...
