After posting (late at night) & returning here, I was horrified by the mistake I made. The post was to be to AREN -- NOT YOU, MIKE. To all forum members, I MADE A MISTAKE, I DIDN'T PROOF IT, AND TYPED IN THE WRONG NAME. I APOLOGIZE TO MIKE AND I WANT ALL TO KNOW THIS. Secondly, piece of advice to all: DON'T POST IF YOU'RE TIRED!! THAT'S WHEN YOU GET "FOOT-IN-MOUTH DISEASE. MY intent was to ask for what I perceived to be a lack of sensitivity to members who own Invictas. Reading that they're "POS" and people who buy them "Idiots," etc. doesn't always sit well. Perhaps I'm being thin-skinned, that's all. Lastly, Mike's right!! We have this great forum to discuss watches/watch issues. That's important. And on that note, I will now leave to go to my Podiatrist to have my foot removed from my mouth & fingers. Truly, truly sorry.

Mine have been rugged, water tight, and look damned nice, too. The only problem I've had with Invicta has been with their customer service, which stinks. People may not like them -- that's their opinion. I don't like Pams or IWCs, but I'm not going to trash them because other forum members like them. You can offer a critique; just be careful with your word selection!

I wish better things for my brother, but do not think him an idiot either.

Still, I do not judge my brother even though I would not make his choices.

Do I judge the watches and the company? Yes, and with reason. Reasons I have stated.

 

I am happy for you if you have had positive experiences with these watches.

I find AD to be a gent with discriminating taste. He has some nice looking Invicta's.

Perhaps some of you have made better selections than my brother has.

 

I admitted having a bias with regard to these watches.

I have posted my opinion about these watches...not my opinion about any member(s)

I was under the mis-impression that Mike was a reseller of these items,

and he cleared that up for me.

 

For the most part, I am not emotionally invested in material things.

I am aware that some people become emotionally invested in their possessions.

Someone not liking something I have is not an emotionally charged event for me.

 

If I do not like something, it should not have any effect on someone else IMHO.

I have not expressed negativity about you or anyone else in this thread.

I have been speaking solely of these watches and none of it was personal.

If anyone has made this personal, please revisit my posts for clarification.

Should I apologise for liking that rose gold and black one that Luth posted? Always had a thing for RG and PVD, I'd buy that for 110 all day long. While I'm at it I will apologise for owning an Invicta as well. For all of 2 days mind you but I like it!
