1675 Pepsi - DONE

Recommended Posts

This is definitely one of the harder things I've tried. Lots of tiny fiddly bits and a rather high cost of failure with the swiss movement. But it is done.

I got the watch a couple years ago from Marvelous Replica. Advertising said it was a swiss movement. It was around $250. I wore it a few times but stuck it in the box and forgot it. Saw some builds and thought I could do it. The crystal and insert were like $30. The rest is sweat equity, bleach, coffee, and lacquer.

What are the specs of the build?

Crystal and insert from WSO. This had the plastic gasket securing the bezel assembly to the crystal and of course I destroyed it removing it. Turns out it is really a sapphire crystal gasket for holding a Rolex crystal. Ordered a few of those from Ofrei and worked like a charm. I got the watch a couple years ago from Marvelous Replica. Advertising said it was a swiss movement. I wore it a few times but scratched the crystal and bezel insert so I stuck it in the box and forgot it. Saw some builds and thought I could do it. The crystal and insert were like $30. The rest is sweat equity and sanding, bleach, coffee, and lacquer.
