NCRich 13,714 Posted March 28, 2016 This is definitely one of the harder things I've tried. Lots of tiny fiddly bits and a rather high cost of failure with the swiss movement. But it is done. Edited to thank Rolie for his advice in building this.

Cart13R 0 Posted March 28, 2016 Looks amazing! Ive been in the market for one of these. What base did you start with and how much was the total?
NCRich 13,714 Posted March 28, 2016 I got the watch a couple years ago from Marvelous Replica. Advertising said it was a swiss movement. It was around $250. I wore it a few times but stuck it in the box and forgot it. Saw some builds and thought I could do it. The crystal and insert were like $30. The rest is sweat equity, bleach, coffee, and lacquer. That is a job well done rich and no need to thank me mate you did all the hard work ,so wear the watch with pride always thinking to yourself that ' you built it ' :thumbsup2:

silentflight 0 Posted April 2, 2016 What are the specs of the build?
NCRich 13,714 Posted April 3, 2016 What are the specs of the build? Crystal and insert from WSO. This had the plastic gasket securing the bezel assembly to the crystal and of course I destroyed it removing it. Turns out it is really a sapphire crystal gasket for holding a Rolex crystal. Ordered a few of those from Ofrei and worked like a charm. I got the watch a couple years ago from Marvelous Replica. Advertising said it was a swiss movement. I wore it a few times but scratched the crystal and bezel insert so I stuck it in the box and forgot it. Saw some builds and thought I could do it. The crystal and insert were like $30. The rest is sweat equity and sanding, bleach, coffee, and lacquer.
