mulder 0 Posted February 13, 2011 I was on a train in Sydney yesterday when a young fellow got on two rows in front of me. He had on his left wrist a Breitling with a dark blue band and it looked smick. I tried to remember what it looked like and it looked like a navitimer but it was the nicest one I have seen. The case was a shiny as any case I had seen and the dial looked navitimer but after scannig the breitling web site I couldnt find the exact same thing. I looked through all the google images etc but still nothing. I wish I had of asked him for a closer look and maybe a photo of it but I dont think Sydney siders would normally like people doing that. This is the closet I could find but this has a black strap. Im not sure if it had numbers on the dial either but I like the numbers better than plain. The blue from the Breitling web site looks like this which is nothing like the one he had. I do like the black better. Wish I had of asked him now
wat44 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Ask. People are normally happy that others noticed. I saw a guy in Sydney a few weeks ago with Pam gmt, complimented him on it. He was happy.
Luthier 1 Posted February 13, 2011 Why didn't you???
speedzmaster 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Was it this strap? Or, perhaps this one?
mulder 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Why didnt I? I dont like approaching strangers on a train. In my own town yes but in Sydney no way. In fact I hate riding on trains. No speez its neither of them. Too light and no peter, again too light. It looked real dark blue in the light of the train. Could have been black in natural light I dont know.

Slim 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Did you actually see the 'Breitling' brand name on the dial? it might have been a Rotary or another brand homage.
Slim 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Might not have been the original strap, of course.

baruch 0 Posted February 13, 2011 was it maybe a bentley?
djprone 0 Posted February 13, 2011 was it maybe a bentley? I was going to say the same thing, maybe a breitling bentley gt (look at my banner, it can come with a blue dial and blue band).
mulder 0 Posted February 13, 2011 No wasnt a Bentley. Didnt have that decorative ring around it. It probably was just a normal Navitimer as I have not seen a real one or rep in person so it was probably a regular navitimer. Kicking my self now. Fark it was nice and wife has offered to get me one for my Birthday. Now to track one down. David
