mulder 0 Posted February 16, 2011 Ahh the Luger. I like them. Col the 6.5x55 is a very accurate cal. I know of a $300 6.5 that will out shoot guns worth 3 times that. Nice all round cal for most Australia game except buffalo.

Baldrick 1 Posted February 17, 2011 Ahh the Luger. I like them. That's not a Luger, it's the Swedish equivalent of the Finnish Lahti Valmet L-35, a late version of the Husquvarna M/ 1940, the receiver mechanism is entirely different from the Luger P08, the cocking mechanism and receiver have more in common with the Japanese Nambu than the Luger which it bears a distinct resemblance to, but the operation is different, the Luger is an upwards toggle-action cocking mechanism based loosely on Hugo Borchardt's original design, the Lahti and Husquvarna and Nambu are rear-wards pull back cocking actions. albeit in different calibres, the Lahti and Husquvarna are .9mm Luger and the Nambu's were optionally 7mm or 8mm calibre ! Bill Ruger copied the Nambu cocking mechanism and incorporated it in his Ruger Standard Bull Barrell .22 pistol !
