MAJ75 928 Posted April 29, 2016 Just received the bad boys below today to continue scratching my vintage itch.... I may start "Vintagizing" them in due course if I'm brave enough!

ShovelnTC 31 Posted April 29, 2016 They look great, I think you have just cost me some money. Enjoy and please resist as more nice watches get ruined than improved by "vintagizing".

JSJ 0 Posted April 29, 2016 Beautiful wathces.. who was the dealer? The thread title says The Cartel. It's jargon here. Trusty Time or Perfect Clones, otherwise known as the Twins or Andrew and Josh. They are Trusted Dealers. Welcome. Pop over to the New Member section and introduce yourself.

Many thanks for all the kind words on these from everybody. These came from Sead next door (apologies I don't understand the politics behind why people are given TD status on different different forums). They are 2813 and an absolute steal at $119 each (hence picking up two). At this pricing working them over a little isn't too much of a risk. Regarding the quote above, I hear you loud & clear mate. When aging is done well it looks really superb but I completely agree that I have seen more examples of ones where it is overdone than just right. I love the sentence below somebody used when commenting on a piece that had been aged to an early 80's look..... Thumbs up for leaving it looking like a safe queen. Beat down is just ugly to me, not "vintage" That is the exact look I would want.....
