BadPickle 2,749 Posted May 4, 2016 Hi, Gang! Tuesday sees another "two-fer:" the first is yet another sterile homage (Rolex Sub) I picked up M2M about or within the first year of my membership here. Like the GMT-Master II sterile homage from yesterday, this too is solidly built, w/ ceramic bezel insert, excellent date/cyclops combo, heavy bracelet. The second in the "two-fer" is this gigantic ROLEX Deep Sea Challenge I bought from Stan @ WBK a while ago. I just HAD to have it -- no singlular rationale for its acquisition. Of course, as RWI mates know, it's indeed gigantic: 56mm wide w/crown, 27mm thick, and weighs in at a whopping 305.5 grams. When you wear it, you KNOW it's there. I just worry about (1). wrenching my shoulder socket and/or (2). knocking out someone if I swing my arm to go around them and smack them in the head by mistake after losing control of its trajectory, heh! I just wore it around the house for a while. dave: DEEP SEA CHALLENGE: ONE MORE OF THIS MONSTER: That deep sea is just awesome Dave, don't see many of those in the weekly wristie mate great pics as always and nice to see the crochet tablecloth This for me--

dave47 6,505 Posted May 5, 2016 Today is HUMPDAY, Gang, so enjoy the midweek & its promises of good things to come! For today, this rarely worn Patek Philippe Nautilus white dial rep purchased years ago during my strange quest to acquire replicas of most watches. Duh! That was short lived and most sold off -- except this one. It has a very elemental charm and simplicity to it that I found appealing. Had a problem with the hour marker at 6 (missing) & sent it to a watchsmith for repair. He did the best he could. Curiousity led me to research the gen, Reference number 5711 & learned the gen is a $25,000+ watch. Whoa!! Although it runs like a charm and has an attractive decorated rotor, I just might sell this soon, as I don't believe I can "pull off" a $25,000 watch. dave:
dave47 6,505 Posted May 5, 2016 THANKS, PBR!! Appeciate the feedback, AND I made it a point to ask wifey to place the crochet tablecloth back on the tabe; I told her it has fans over on RWG, which she appreciates. It was her grandmothers. dave
dave47 6,505 Posted May 5, 2016 Hi, Gang! Tuesday sees another "two-fer:" Hey Dave, you have a very nice collection but... Your camera fucks all up with a bad white balance, dull colors and smoky focus Yeah, G. You're right about the camera's pics. It's old and over used; plus, I've tried fiddling with the white balance and such, but I've realized I'm a tech Neanderthal Man. I'll continue trying. Thanks for the feedback, my friend. dave

I clean the lens with lens tissue, but G.'s right about the rest of the camera's operations. Very old, overused one. dave
