Piloten 332 Posted May 2, 2016 (edited) Sometimes I do. Then I'm wrong I ordered a couple of Deployant buckles, thinking I would put together my two favourite things (well, in a watch strap anyway): A NATO with a deployant buckle. Insert applause here THEN I go do my research . . . And it's not even a good looking Oris But the strap is cool Edited May 2, 2016 by Piloten

Daywatch 4 Posted May 2, 2016 In 99,99% of cases it has been done or thought of by someone before. Yes, this has happened with all original ideas - that had been thought of before. The internet is a great place.

ShovelnTC 31 Posted May 3, 2016 Anything that eliminates unnecessary effort is OK by me, I love the look of Nato's but am just too lazy for all that poncing about getting the strap end through multiple loops and bending it over and under.
carter23 2 Posted May 4, 2016 yeah I reckon that looks awesome, might do that myself with the leather nato I have

Piloten 332 Posted May 9, 2016 Proof of concept: In order to work properly, the buckle side of the nato needs to be longer, to get the deployant under your wrist when it's closed. If you don't want to fool around with the long tail of the nato, you would need to trim that end. Otherwise, it works great and it's comfortable, even as is

Otherwise, it works great and it's comfortable, even as is I've seen this done a few times on other boards, but yours is the first one that looks nice, IMO. Still, I'm not a huge fan of those type of deployants as I find them uncomfortable. But, to each their own. Cheers!
