Khronos 1,339 Posted May 15, 2016 I got an offer to buy a mint genuine Breitling Colt II quartz, boxes and papers and all, for 1350 EUR. It's the black face version. Has anyone ever had one? Anybody have an opinion on it? I'm in doubt, because it's a quartz and I'm afraid I'll have trouble flipping it in case I get tired of it. And I usualy do get tired of almost every single watch I buy Are these fairly popular or hard to flip? It fits nicely, even though it's only 41,5mm. Should I pull the trigger or what? onionbag 1 Posted May 15, 2016 It's a gen Breitling, you will not have a problem flipping it. Just a loss......
Khronos 1,339 Posted May 15, 2016 Is the asking price a bit high? You have an idea on how much these usualy go for?
onionbag 1 Posted May 15, 2016 No I don't. You could Google and find a price though....... https://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/product/colt-chrono/ So on the surface your's is cheap.
Khronos 1,339 Posted May 15, 2016 I thought it was a pretty decent price too. Dunno, gotta think it over. Thanks!
BadPickle 2,747 Posted May 15, 2016 I would think twice trying to "flip" it here, history dictates the struggle to knock out them lower priced gens

Piccolo 674 Posted May 15, 2016 Watchfinder throws up these for prices: http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/search/?q=colt+quartz They will probably give you as much as you pay for it if you were to sell it to them or part ex it.
Del 4,462 Posted May 15, 2016 Don't know if it's on bracelet, leather or rubber and I assume it's the non-chrono but I think 1350 Euro is really cheap - aren't they more than double that new? If it's in mint condition then it sounds like a cracking deal to me.
Khronos 1,339 Posted May 16, 2016 It's on a bracelet..No pics yet, I didn't want to scare the man with my camera on our first meeting, he was kinda shy . But it's all there, the receipt, warranty, box, the whole package. And it's really nice, a couple of hairlines here and there, nothing major. He just needs the dough I guess. And you can tell it's a gen, it feels different than reps.

Khronos 1,339 Posted May 16, 2016 I wasn't really looking for a Colt, it was just an opportunity that came out of nowhere I was thinking to grab. It's a lovely watch, I just might give it a go. It's just that I get bored easily and should probably stick to reps, less financial damage

Khronos 1,339 Posted May 16, 2016 I'm afraid there's some calling the seller and going to the bank to be done Thanks for the tips!
mauricio612 0 Posted May 17, 2016 If I were you I would buy the automatic version. If I were to go gen I would never buy a quartz, a lot of the pleasure from owning a gen lies in the movement IMO You can find an auto Colt for less than 2000 us dollars on Chrono24 And it's a great watch.
