rolex321 0 Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) Hi everyone, following on from my 5517 build http://www.rwg.bz/bo...howtopic=118332, is my 5513 build as promised. This watch started life as a cartel 5513. A great starting point for these builds now that the CG issues have been sorted. The watch was modded with the following: Lugs drilled to 1.2mm accept 2mm springbars. Helenarou aged 5513 dial. ft first. Aged stock cartel bezel. Sternkreuz T19 crystal. Total cost for this build was around £200. sogeha 6 Posted June 9, 2016 I bought a cartel 5513 as a beater, but it's really rather nice and I wear it a lot.
sogeha 6 Posted June 9, 2016 The mods make this watch. It will now look really convincing on the wrist. I must fit the dial I bough for mine.

rolex321 0 Posted June 14, 2016 Thanks everyone for the kind words. Have a set off WSO endlinks on the way. Will order a new crown. These cartel ones are horrendous.
Daywatch 4 Posted June 14, 2016 Very nice. Does the HR-dial come directly like this or was it relumed, I´m liking those lume dots:)
frakius 0 Posted June 14, 2016 Looks great well done, really at some point I want to do something like this, so far I have only done hands and reshaped Crown guards on a BPSD, this looks a bit more work!
Mattcrx 8 Posted June 14, 2016 I really really like that!!!
rolex321 0 Posted June 14, 2016 Dial was relumed. Looked a bit too green for a vintage dial due to the super lume. Why these dials are sold with super lume on I have no idea. The tritium would be long dead by now.

Took a quick look on the web and it looks okay to my noob eyes. (anyone) Too thick? Edited October 26, 2017 by watchsean7

cuddlefish 0 Posted January 22, 2018 cracking job, i really love this watch, im planning a build similar to this (my first vintage / build of any sort). ive seen on a lot of vintage Rolex threads people talking of "Cartel" - as a newbie, is this a nickname of a TD or the factory / maker, im not really getting what it refers to. im assuming its the manufacturer - if so, is there a particular TD that gives the best price on one?
