Monkey_Business 0 Posted June 16, 2016 Last week, I bought (on recommendation from you guys) a "proper" replica watch from a TD. Got it just now and mounted a green perlon strap on it. Here are my impressions: I chose to go with "Perfect Clones" for my purchase. I found the watch I wanted, contacted the TD for PayPal payment, and sent the money their way. Shortly after, I received a bunch of QC photos, with the calibration of the movement as well. This particular one seems to go 1 second faster every day - Not bad, if you ask me. The watch itself is pretty damn awesome. I've compared roughly towards pictures of a genuine one, and cant find too much to put my fingers on. One thing I noticed rather quickly is that the metal band looks a little poor. Not overall, but in the details. It does not have a glide-lock system (I dont know if gen has it), and the crown was not sitting right. I had already ordered a green perlon, so I did not care about it. I love the details - The hands look awesome, the dial looks (to me) sublime, and every other little detail is great. What really sucks, and that I could not see on the QC photos, is that the 55min indicator is off. It is not sitting right - And that sucks major balls, but there's nothing to be done about that.. Pics will follow. Another thing I found was an "A" written on the inside of the lugs with permanent marker. Nothing I could not clean off, but still odd. Other than that, great buying experience. Shipping from China was prompt and fast, and had no issues through customs.
Abe Fromen 1,620 Posted June 16, 2016 Very nice!! Tempting to get one as well. You should get a blue Perlon as well.
k3rm87 180 Posted June 16, 2016 Wow, perlon looks awesome on that piece.
Piloten 332 Posted June 16, 2016 Is the second hand square on the stem?
Monkey_Business 0 Posted June 17, 2016 Mods I would do: 1. Original sapphire glass in green 2. Original hour, minute and second hands. They look nice from far away, but a little dicy up close.
Hamblehound 7 Posted June 17, 2016 Lovely! Gonna have to get one of these! Looks great with the perlon as well
T__H 0 Posted June 17, 2016 (edited) The blue dial is lovely! I really like the look with a blue strap, too! Edited June 17, 2016 by T__H
WatchaholicMallorca 2 Posted June 17, 2016 Nice one mate, As far as I'm aware the milgauss doesn't have a glide lock clasp, my rep doesn't have it either. Watch looks great on perlon, mines on gen rubberb at the moment, doesn't get as much wrist time as it deserves!

I just love it - Haven't worn anything else yet :P Ordered the V6s submariner as well - Due to arrive next week.
Sam Howell 0 Posted June 19, 2016 Always loved the Milgauss. Looks phenomenal on that green perlon strap!! Good choice !
Monkey_Business 0 Posted June 19, 2016 Thanks mate. I had not really noticed it, until I saw this picture on Instagram: Two weeks later, both the replica and the perlon was delivered in my mailbox
porschespeedster 19 Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) The ''A'' in the middle of the lugs is actually the famous Chinese 5-pointed star, indicating your watch has passed the Guangzhou chronometer testing. As for the 55 marker...it does look like its sitting a bit Rush Limbaugh...you could prob fix it if you felt like getting handy/taking a gamble on at-home modding! also: LOOKS GOOD on that green perlon man, cheers Edited June 19, 2016 by porschespeedster
GenTLe 1,503 Posted June 19, 2016 The 'A' goes away with a bit of alcohol (had it on my BP too)
Triplock 0 Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) I probably wouldn't have noticed the 55 marker being out of whack, but yeah, it's a bit crooked. Looks great on the green strap! Consider doing the crystal mod on the edge for even more punch. Here's my blue Milgauss w/gen green sapphire. Edited January 10, 2021 by Triplock
Monkey_Business 0 Posted June 24, 2016 Opened it up - pretty impressive..
GenTLe 1,503 Posted June 24, 2016 For me that'a a BP, not a Noob one. Noob doesn't put "camoufled" movements in their watches and that balance incablock spring is typical from the BP "Swiss" movements. I have a Noob one (same model) and the movement looks like this:
Monkey_Business 0 Posted June 24, 2016 Huh.. I see. So, did I get a "better" or "worse" clone?
GenTLe 1,503 Posted June 24, 2016 "Good enough". It depends on how much you paid for it. The Noob is very good and it's around 270$ but some time ago there was a crazysale at Tony (7750asian.com, TD over RWI) and I got if for like 100$ less
Triplock 0 Posted June 29, 2016 On the noob the inner caseback presses against the movement spacer to hold the movement in place. It doesn't use the typical screw and tab arrangement. See GenTL's photo. Your watch has the SA3131 movement and there's plenty of (mostly negative?) info about that movement in the forums. The good news is that a genuine 3131 movement should be a drop-in replacement if you can locate one.

Monkey_Business 0 Posted June 30, 2016 Yeah, you guys were totally right. The watch stopped working, whilst on my arm.. Contacted Joshua, and he gave me a few tips. Nothing worked, so he asked me to send it back. He was super helpful.. Top lad! :-) I'll buy another watch from him (With a proper movement) when I get my refund.. :P

Just need to let the dust settle with the missus! I have a cheapie sub so might hide it and get the same black sub v6 and replace it
