Nikosaldente 630 Posted June 29, 2016 Hi everyone, I've had a Planet Ocean UPO 45mm cheapie that I've managed to scratch the crystal! It wasn't very beautiful (Happy feet Omega logo, ceramic bezel) but it has been a daily beater for a few years.... Anyway, I tried to source a new case but it wasn't fruitfull! So I contacted Michelle but she didn't have one either! After a few mails back and forth I decided to take a proper UPO with no happy feet logo and proper SS bezel! Michelle assured me that she can find me one with an Asian 21J (so I can save a few $ since it has solid case back) at a very good price! I agreed and went through with the WU payment! A couple of days later she sent me the QC photos but..... She eventually could not find an UPO at 45mm with the proper logo and the one she found had Happy Feet! On the other hand, the factory had the proper logo rep but at 42mm. I like the 45mm better than the 42mm...that's one thing. The other thing is....I paid for a better rep with correct logo and 21j. The omegas with the wrong logo are much cheaper at Michelle's store! What do you advise me to do? Shall I take the 42mm and bear with it or shall I tell Michelle to add something more to the deal to cover for my loss? Like an omega rubber strap for example? Or a better movement in the 45mm happy feet? I am very confused! I've dealt with Michelle before and I am very pleased! I am open to your suggestions. Cheers! Update: I told Michelle what I've posted above, also offering another solution: Maybe she could get me a better watch with a better movement, proper logo, size, case, date numerals, bracelet etc, at a better price! So, she did! She happened to have exactly what I described in her stock! Omega UPO with Asian ETA 2836-2 high beat 28,800 movement with everything at a very sweet deal! I asked for QC photos... five minutes later they were in my inbox(no I'm not gonna post them here) I was very pleased....After work, I completed the extra payment (WU)! The next day my watch began it's trip to my home! I hope everything ends well and I'll post the photos on arrival! Cross your fingers everyone! Cheers! New Update: It's finally here! Photos don't do justice at all! After resizing the bracelet, checking under the hood for pubes and tightening the caseback, it's been on my wrist since Friday(2days ago). Keeps excellent time and looks great! Pics: Will post better photos of the watch and movement at Silix feedback! Michelle is great! Thank's for watching and for giving your advice everyone! Hope you like it! Cheers!

porschespeedster 19 Posted June 29, 2016 get the 42mm. accurate, elegant, and unless you're 6'5 or over 275lbs it'll probably suit you better.
porschespeedster 19 Posted June 29, 2016 oh yeah, and if you ARE a big guy, grab a PAM or a classic Royal Oak maybe ?

trailboss99 994 Posted June 30, 2016 Why not just get a new crystal?
Nikosaldente 630 Posted June 30, 2016 Why not just get a new crystal? Wasn't sure were to find a proper one! I even contacted Steve and he advised that since it was a cheapie it didn't worth the trouble! Besides, I don't have a crystal press to remove this one and measure it! Any insight? Please, feel free to inform me! Cheers!
Abe Fromen 1,620 Posted June 30, 2016 I'd go for the 42mm with the correct logo. IMO the three mm difference on the PO isn't that big a deal, and I'm quite a bit taller than you. I had a 45mm PO and sold it. Didn't replace it (yet) but if I do it'll be with a 42 for sure. IMO it's better to get the most accurate looking rep. The biggest rep I have is a 45mm rad in Ti, but IMO the 346 wears small.
wqleow 1 Posted June 30, 2016 I would just go with the 42mm too.
Nikosaldente 630 Posted June 30, 2016 Still waiting for the QC photos of the new 45mm! Don't know what's the most annoying thing! The 3mm difference that might show or the Happy Feet that noone will probably notice? I believe that a rep should be as close as it can get to the gen.... I'm confused again! I suppose I'll get the QC photos of the 45 and if I find any flaws again I'll go for the 42mm.
