NCRich 13,832 Posted July 22, 2016 A couple of weeks ago Travelterp offered to give away a broken rolex. He even paid the freight. I was looking to play with something so I asked for it. Broken stem, broken tube, scratched dial from abortive repair attempt. After looking in my spare parts bin I decided I could do a vanilla pepsi rolex. Replaced the crown and tube, put on a new stem, broke the watch down, cleaned it and polished it. The movement was still good so I added the gmt parts to make it go with another dial I had (had destroyed the watch earlier in my learning curve). Buttoned it up and: From this: Thanks Travelterp. You are a good bloke.
black263 228 Posted July 22, 2016 That's a really purdy watch. First Rolex I've seen that I really like. Still a Rolex though. :suck:
