What's the life of your A2836/Asian Swiss ETA 2836?

A2836 seems to be a very reliable movement and is the go to movement.

Are the sellitas out yet, or when are they going to start replacing the A2836?

Just a question I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has any answer.

Just was wondering how long the movement has lasted you all.

A Sellita SW-200 is three times the price of an Asian clone so they are not going to be replacing them any time soon. The SW-200 is more the replacement for the genuine ETA which is pretty much NLA.

A decently kept A2836 should last pretty much forever if serviced every few years.

Sellita are Swiss made, not Chinese, and this is the cause of what the Boss said here upper.
