DR3M3L 4 Posted August 11, 2016 There might be a handful of people who actually remember my thread from a few years ago... A quick sum-up.... I wanted to do a vintage GMT rolex and I started off with coffee, tea, and many other shit. It didn't get the best result so I put it in the oven. Result: I forgot about the GMT watch having a plastic GMT hand. It came out as....errr.....soup. Today I received a Rolex 5513. Guess what? I'm going to vintage the hell out of this thing. First up... The bezel insert! It came out without breaking: that's new to me Some bleach.... Hell yeah! Make sure you wipe it off with soap before you dry it, otherwise you get this: Result: no sex tonight. Pretty good So now the dial..... Fuck me, keyless fucked up... Will fix that later. Now... The ingredients I'm using tonight: My favorite BBQ sauce. Can't eat without her, so she should be in my watch too! Some pesto.... And some Ice Tea Lemon... And some Vodka.... Ok! Let's do this. And finally... It's time to start cooking..... Not sure about how it's going to end this time, but knowing what happened last time I thought it might be wise to keep you guys in the loop. I'll keep you updated.

greg_r 81 Posted August 12, 2016 Ah, the fine art of destroying a perfectly good watch with the aid of several inappropriate household products. Marvellous By the way - you forgot the A1 sauce. You can't possibly call yourself a serious Watch Ruiner without A1

porschespeedster 19 Posted August 12, 2016 He must have wrecked it, he's obviously waiting for the DHL package otw with a replacement instead of posting the carnage
Duzza 182 Posted August 12, 2016 He must have wrecked it, he's obviously waiting for the DHL package otw with a replacement instead of posting the carnage I think we can all agree on that, regardless of the outcome
DR3M3L 4 Posted August 12, 2016 I must say the outcome isn't as bad as I expected it to be. Not waiting for DHL, but I actually did order a different style of bracelet for this BBQ watch. I ordered this kind of bracelet: Vintage watch needs vintage bracelet.
