jon k 0 Posted February 28, 2011 Hi All, I recently received an EMS package from Thailand (Robert). The watch is undamaged, but inside the DHL envelope, the EMS envelope and other packaging has been ripped apart. The watch itself was just sitting outside of all the packaging. It looks like all the other packaging was ripped on purpose, and maybe even cut open, as the rips are a straight line. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be alarmed? instinct 0 Posted February 28, 2011 it might be from the works of the local customs..

jon k 0 Posted February 28, 2011 Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be alarmed? No, that's not happened to me before. If the watch is ok, why should you be alarmed? I just wonder why a customs agent would open this and then send it on its way. Just from looking at it, you can see it was a 'rolex' watch. It must have been opened AFTER it arrived in the US, since the DHL envelope was the only thing keeping the watch from falling out. It's just strange. Why open something to inspect it, see it's a replica, then send it on the way.
Del 4,470 Posted February 28, 2011 Yes, I guess it's strange but if everything's ok then just enjoy your new watch .

jon k 0 Posted February 28, 2011 Dont answer the door after dark it will be the watch police You havnt got a overhead have you I am going to keep my eyes peeled for anti-replica aircraft. I don't want to end up like the guy in Goodfellas.
greg_r 81 Posted February 28, 2011 eeeek! Customs ninjas! Very odd. Glad you got the watch safely though - these sorts of tales usually end up with your watch on a postman's wrist...
instinct 0 Posted February 28, 2011 lol... sometimes customs open packages to check if there's any hidden articles.. In the form of narcotics, etc.. Or maybe they're just plain curious, lol!
KeNnY 29 Posted February 28, 2011 this customs also do to me, tear down the original package, the protective foils, and then when the content is ok, they just mash all to gether and just send it, not puting it into original foils how it was originally posted.... I am not talking about rep watches, but I hate it always !
midasmook 14 Posted February 28, 2011 I once had an EMS package delivered with a straight cut along the top of the envelope and the Panerai 088 that was supposed to be inside was gone. Reported it and got nowhere. The package was coming to me from the states. Not a very pleasant experience.

Drhulee 0 Posted March 1, 2011 Sounds like mice got into it. Postal ninja mice  Or maybe PWC has something going on with the local customs guy in your town, and some "polishing compound" of his was retrieved by him ...
JohnG 41 Posted March 1, 2011 Or maybe some guy at EMS, a sex offender hired on a work-release program, rips open random packages, takes the items into the bathroom, rubs they all over his sweaty ball sack and anus, then puts them back in the package and on their way they go! trailboss99 994 Posted March 1, 2011 it might be from the works of the local customs.. Ah, no. If Customs had indeed opened it there would be a nice, neat opening that had been resealed by tape that reads "Opened for inspection by US Customs". Customs does rip stuff asunder and then throw it back in an envelope in pieces. DrHulee: I know that's a joke, you know that's a joke but for the benefit of noobs and prying eyes a smilie on the end in future would be nice. Col.

Oh come on, like it is some big secret that Robert ships drugs in our watches? I thought everyone knew that.
Drhulee 0 Posted March 1, 2011 Happy now? And Robert does, or at least did, sell polishing compound, that he himself said looked like ..... nowhere in my post were drugs ever mentioned
