MDK 0 Posted August 20, 2016 So my UN arrived in the post today from jms1977, love the watch but not the strap so much typical rep crap. Easy fix, make a new one, very quickly chucked this together maybe 40 mins, fairly pleased with it, my first attempt at a curved lug fitting. Made with a premium calf hide, no stitching to keep it simple and clean, not sure a stitch would suit the UN. I may have a go at integrating the original metal links in the rep strap at some point Anyway time for some goodness and before the new strap Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I may look at adding them at some point, the only difficulty with that is they strap may not be rigid enough to keep its shape, it would leave very little leather to support it with, only two bits about 4mm either side, may yet have a go though Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
MDK 0 Posted August 26, 2016 So i decided to make a new strap using the original metal pieces, its not come out bad at all, getting the sizing correct was a complete pain and a couple of failed attempts to cut the strap to accept the inserts. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The watch is good its only just come off today since getting it. Like it a lot mate! Thank you i am pretty happy with it Looks like a really nice effort, although I actually like the rubber strap on my un I wasn't keen on the quality of the rubber, usually i quite like them, love my AP diver on rubber perhaps there are different makers You are talented mate. both look great.
