Kernow 33 Posted September 5, 2016 The 3 hander uses a closed factory case that originally made up a Bond 40 rep. I always wanted to fit the 2230 dial - and had a spare from my gen 2230, but it needed a relume. I also wanted to fit a PO coin edge bezel and a PO second hand. I've seen these done with gens but never with a rep so I contacted my builder and started to plan things. The white chrono started out as a >2008 blue rep bought M2M, but it quickly stripped the crown and tube. I had a gen white <2008 dial (that also needed a relume!) so the idea began to build a franken. Lastly, a blue <2008 managed to strip its crown and tube so fook-it, let's spice it up. I had a spare orange bezel insert from an old PO........ that's where it started. I slowly developed the idea of reversing the date wheel and brightening up the hands but making the clock hands chrome and the chrono hands red. It seems that Omega liked the idea too on their new chrono's. Fast forward several months and these are now complete. My builder shipped the crystals to profsteve in the States. The two dials and hands were shipped to KeNnY in the EU who made them torch like. I love the three hander more than my gens (well almost), the lume is more white in daylight and glows bright for hours. I'm sure people will ask who built these, so I'll just say a Finnish watchsmith and discuss it no more.
