mondeov6 0 Posted March 4, 2011 A while ago I started to look for something different, not to completely get stuck in the "PAM department". This is what I found and liked a lot right away. The Anonimo Cronoscopio, yellow dial. Not a choice everyone would make... but I am very pleased with what I choose! (Bought from Hont, trusted at RWI). The Anonimo has a bit of a "Pam-ish" look and feel to it and that is a very good thing in my book! From what I have read about Anonimo it was founded in 1997 to "save the Florentine Tradition of Military Watch Making". (I.E. picking up where Panerai left off.) To the watch..... As a watch this Anonimo is very well made and has absolutely no flaws as far as I can see. Compared to the gen I believe (from what I have been reading) it has a couple of flaws. One obvious beeing the size of the subdials. They do not cover 12 and 6 as much as the gen. But really...I could not care less. I bought the watch "as is" beacuse I like it just the way it is!...no,... not just like....I loooove this watch! Some info: Asia 7750 Valjoux Working Chronograph movement Case: 50mm (53mm including crown), thickness 15mm Sapphire Glass, Screw-down crown. Price: 226$ Original strap is a quite nice black 24/20 "Kodiak" strap. But I think my strap from Bob Bean looks so much better! Pictures: Thank's for looking! MikeyMouseWatch 0 Posted March 4, 2011 Well I don't know, this one doesn't look very appealing to me either, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Hope the chrono doesn't break down on you.
greg_r 81 Posted March 4, 2011 Interesting pickup, Rolf. I gotta say it's not really my kinda thing, but it's certainly different!
graman 2 Posted March 4, 2011 I'd love the non-chrono version with the bronze case, and orange dial! I like anonimo...they grow on you.... Congrats mate!

mondeov6 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Well...just like I thought this watch is kind of a "love it or hate it" watch. What I can say is they look better "live" than on pictures. The yellow dial I choose has allready been the object of...."WTF!!??"...and.."Ohhh, beautiful!" WTF from my neighbour who really did not like it at all, and the other verdict from my wife! (and that is a good thing)! Anyway...and most important is...I like it! I am actually allready looking at a non chrono black or orange Anonimo. As Graman says... they do grow on you...just like Panerai do. When I joined RWG I really did not know anything about PAM's, did not like them very much..... and now....I looooove them! Thank's a lot for your input guys.... much appreciated.
wat44 0 Posted March 5, 2011 I don't know why, but the non chrono version reminds me of the railmaster
mondeov6 0 Posted March 5, 2011 I don't know why, but the non chrono version reminds me of the railmaster I like the orange dial one you posted a picture of. I might go for that one. I think I have to many watches with a black dial and colours do brighten things up!...don't they
wat44 0 Posted March 5, 2011 I was thinking yellow, to my eyes the non chrono yellow is less vibrant than your one?
mondeov6 0 Posted March 5, 2011 I was thinking yellow, to my eyes the non chrono yellow is less vibrant than your one? That one looks really nice too. Colour looks a bit more "green-ish" yellow to me. Hard to tell the excact tone from the pictures but mine is definitly more yellow. These Anonimos are really growing on me!
