Hey guys,

I finally got my Rolex Explorer a2836.

However, there is a problem. The watch doesnt work, even after winding manual, or shake the watch. I've already contacted the TD, but i thought I will ask you guys first before i send my watch to china :)

Maybe you know whats wrong?

Could be too many things mate.

-tab screw stuck in balance

-dirt inside

-rotor

-hands touching

sending back too China takes forever. Better let it fix by a modder or local smith ;) (just my advice)

Wind it 50 times , slap it a few times very firmly in your hand and rock it like a baby........

Chances are few...........

Best thing to do is take it to ur local watchsmith mate. I am sure he will fix it rather than sending it back.

Let me see...

Your movement composed by these

and these

parts.

Plus some modifications to run the GMT hand.

Let me ask my oracle...

She told me that you may have a screw stuck in the balance.

Or it can be this:

stop fooling yourself and send it back before these clowns ^^ encourage you to take the back off and completely fuck it up.

They think they know stuff about fixing watches but actually are just wankers who probably work in IT..... or another crappy paid job..

do yourself a favour....

If your house was on fire you wouldn't ring your mate to put it out, just cos he's got a bucket of water don't make him a fire chief

Good advice, i always send mine to somebody who knows what they are doing, if you are willing to send it back, do that.

Not many people here are keen on returning watches to China but I'm wearing a Pam watch as I type that developed problems shortly after delivery and was returned. My TD was great and suggested I send it back, which I did, and I received it after about a 5 week round trip fixed and trouble free. I may be wrong, but I think the time factor puts people off more than the chances of losing the watch altogether.

Patience is the hardest thing to learn in this hobby but, in my experience, it pays to cultivate it if it doesn't come naturally.

Oooooohhhhhh get you pickle, bit touchy aren't you, and no I don't work in IT, I work in an environment where guys lose limbs and get killed but hey that's my choice, and as for knowledge of watches etc im currently under instruction from a watchsmith with 40+ years at the bench and have been for the past 5 years. Not taking comments personally or hijacking this thread, but just putting some facts on the table.
