Del 4,473 Posted March 4, 2011 Hi folks, I've been asked by a mate if the watch in this eBay listing is for real - someone he knows was given this as a gift (with box and papers apparently) and they don't know if it's worth much or not (I'll see the actual watch for myself tomorrow or Sunday). Listing is here. From what I've gleaned from a quick web search, AK-Homme is a Chinese make and so the asking price of >£5k is a load of bollocks. Anybody seen this watch or this make before? Baldrick 1 Posted March 5, 2011 It's a cheap POS, cheap ( very cheap Panerai case ), with a standard 21j Asian 'exposed heartbeat' balance-wheel, faux moonphase and 31 day subdial, it does however come with prolly about 5k's worth of sales and marketing bullshit ( that's 5k Kambi Bolongan shillings, about 96 pence ), so there you have it I have a nice similar item but marked up as Vacheron et Constantin, he can have that for half the price, heck, I'll even throw in a box Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mondeov6 0 Posted March 5, 2011 Ohhh my!!!!!!!!!!! AK is a cheap Chinese "mushroom brand" with the cheapest movements! This one should be 30-40$ at the most! I'd say 5k is a whole lot of loads of bollocks!! I have had an AK once. Price was 25$ (shipping inc.) and quality was decent for that kind of money. It actually looked nice and keep time well.
