dfq23 131 Posted October 4, 2016 I was perusing Ebay the other week and stumbled across a store in the States that had a load of watches for stupid prices. One of them caught my eye as the UK RRP for it is £860. Even with the Ebay "customs clearance" fee on top it still came out at a decent price unlike a lot of purchases from the States once you factor that in.... so I took a punt.... worst case scenario I would just get refunded by Paypal if it was a pricing error, especially as all the prices had gone back to normal the next morning when I checked. It came today..... Nice ain't she? Hamilton Pan Europ grey dial, boxed on the black leather and with the NATO and Hamilton branded spring bar tool. How much you may be asking? Well even with the 82 quid for the Ebay/Pitney Bowes GSP "Customs clearance charge/scam" it came in at just £322 delivered. Of course it would have been even cheaper if I lived in the States but still a nice deal for a quality piece. Only issue is that even though the sellers description said all their watches come with full documentation and warranty card, this one doesn't. Not a watch that has been repped so not an issue there regarding authenticity, but if I ever WUS it, it could be a problem, so I have messaged them to see if they can forward them on. If not I guess I can always open a PP claim for a partial refund for incomplete/missing items if they get arsey, although I already feel like I bent them over on this (and I got bent over by Ebay/PitneyBowes so kind of a human centipede thing going on!) dfq23 131 Posted October 4, 2016 Why didnt you get an onwards ship from conus They are one of the idiots that haven't unticked the use GSP service option so as soon as the site sees it's a UK based buyer it's kerching! would have had to find an amenable septic with an ebay account to buy it and then ship on When reading up on GSP there were people in ireland charged the extra fees for buying books from the UK.... Both of which are at the moment still in the EU and books are zero rated anyway....
