My first Rep - Pam 156 GMT

Recommended Posts

50 Fathoms

I have spent a couple of weeks sweating on this as I made a fundamental novice error in not digesting the info on this site properly before ordering.

See my initial error here http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...showtopic=11869

Everything has worked out fine and here is the new arrival.

It should have come with a rubber Panny strap but I asked if they would change it to a leather deployment which they did. Leather is cheap rep but the deployment is quality and carries all the stamps.

The Rep world have one new convert.

I never understood the attention people have for these Pams. Curious why you like the brand/model so much?

Very nice choice of watch!! Congrats! :) ....I like the guitar too... HP Signature Series EX is it?

Its' a JF1 EXP which funnily enough is a great Rep of a Gibson 355. I also have a Blond Yamaha Pacifica which is a straight Strat copy. Watch Reps, guitar Reps, there's a theme brewing.

I also did not get the whole Panerai thing until I realised how many designs there were and this one was actually offered to me when my 1st choice Blancpain was not available. Now it is here in the flesh and looks so good I will be after a PAM 288K before too long.

Just thought I'd post an update with the new strap from this unusual source.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brown-Heavy-Saddle...5121&sr=1-5

A fantastic strap which is much softer than I had expected from a 5mm leather. I have so much to learn about this Panny fetish.

Not bad for £19 delivered.

The watch is performing great at +1 per day after nearly a week.

GMTs are fabulous, good choice there! How about the date, how deep in the dial does it lie? I remember mine was so deep it was hardly readable.

It does sit a little deep but clearly readable. It is my 1st PAM and GMT and I am lovin it.
