Rolexl0ver 0 Posted November 20, 2016 Hey Guys! I've been inactive for about 3 months, but now I am back! As some of you might have heard, the noob factory has/is releasing the GMT Master with a new movement which provides the correct hand stack. I am making this post since I am considering buying one, but hesitating since this seems to be in a very early stage and therefore the movement might be unreliable. What do you guys think? Is it something a should go for? If not, pls refer me to another good rep of "The Batman" (116710 BLNR). Hope you all enjoy the rest of your sunday, cheers. onzenuub 308 Posted November 20, 2016 From what dealer is this?
RepGuy 108 Posted November 20, 2016 I think it's best to wait. Any time a rep maker fuckifies the movement, there is a high probability for issues. If it were me, I would wait until some reviews came out before spending any money on it. ...Or you could get one yourself and give us a review

RUSH2112 11 Posted November 20, 2016 Did thy invent a new movement or just correct the hand stack? Why would the movement be suddenly unreliable?
theJLC 0 Posted November 20, 2016 i prefer they fix AR on cyclops rather than CHS.
Rolexl0ver 0 Posted November 20, 2016 Did thy invent a new movement or just correct the hand stack? Why would the movement be suddenly unreliable? In this rep, they use the A3186 while I think they use the A2836 in the other Gmt reps
rolex321 0 Posted November 20, 2016 Did thy invent a new movement or just correct the hand stack? Why would the movement be suddenly unreliable? In this rep, they use the A3186 while I think they use the A2836 in the other Gmt reps From images I've seen of this new 'A3186' it seems to be a decorated A2836-2 with modified gearing for the CHS GMT function. IMO it will more than likely be highly unreliable.
GenTLe 1,509 Posted November 20, 2016 Did thy invent a new movement or just correct the hand stack? Why would the movement be suddenly unreliable? Because the old one already added 3 gears to have the GMT. The new one, that has the hour hand on the special gear used previously for the GMT, must have seriously changed the gear to gear ratio and this may potentially affect how the movement works. Knowing how the previous was done, this minimum has 5 gears with new mods. But they could be up to 7.
deju 1,886 Posted November 20, 2016 Did thy invent a new movement or just correct the hand stack? Why would the movement be suddenly unreliable? Clone movement apparently, PT posted a video of the prototype on RWI. Functioning like gen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think they just switched the hand posts modifying the gear ratio, but the base remains a 2836.
JSJ 0 Posted November 20, 2016 This will be interesting. Looking forward to more details.
GenTLe 1,509 Posted November 20, 2016 Yes, it is a modified 2836. These are from this CHS watch at toro site:
LightGeek 25 Posted November 20, 2016 Aaaaaaand because they somehow managed to get the CHS, a small little detail that just about nobody would realistically notice (or care) beyond the owner -- it will carry an astounding price premium. My guess, but let's see.

My guess, but let's see. Someone from RWI said that they're going to be cheaper than the current versions. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

theslavetrainer 0 Posted November 21, 2016 Apologies-I know it's a rep, and that it doesn't have a clear case back - I am now going to take my meds , and slink off and die
rawbaws 91 Posted November 21, 2016 Well I dunno it looks blah, specially on a clear case back....... Well, no rolex should have a clear case back. If you are referring to the look of a DJ2813 used in millions upon millions of reps, It is made that way to look like TRY and look like a sub movement
rawbaws 91 Posted November 21, 2016 But I agree - rolex movements are designed to be reliable work horses - not pieces of art like other watchmakers
