NCRich 13,773 Posted November 29, 2016 This your new bruiser? Nice looker. How's the build quality in your opinion?
fatarms 7,779 Posted November 30, 2016 This your new bruiser? Nice looker. How's the build quality in your opinion? It's basically a sterile 21J DSSD. I've had a couple DSSD's over the years and this case is no different. Same heft and everything. Loose bezel, doesn't spin freely but easy to move. Has an aluminum insert pearl on the ceramic insert, but this isn't a rep so it's allowed to have its own personality. Very quiet rotor on this A2813 and after three days, I haven't had to adjust the time so it's pretty accurate. The nato strap it comes on is actually one of the nicer, more sturdy feeling one. Not as flimsy and "plasticky" as others, also has the thicker keepers. I bought the Tiger mix of the 1665/gilt 6538 looking watch for my son and was impressed with it. So I decided to pull the trigger on this thing. It was only $129, so I think it's money well spent for a beater. And ever since IrishCain ripped me off and stole my shark TC, I have had a hankering for a shark watch since.
dave47 6,505 Posted November 30, 2016 TUESDAY is here, so the next watch-of-the-day is this treasure from Reg: Rolex Sub 114060, I believe. It's become one of the favs, as it looks just about gen (after having visited the local Rolex AD and handling them). dave:
dfq23 131 Posted November 30, 2016 Just in today and on way back from getting it sized at local jewellers (cunting pins and collars!) It's just "wow" for the money

Quality isn't comparable to my JF 15400 but for $158 from toro you can't go wrong. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

dave47 6,505 Posted December 1, 2016 HUMPDAY TODAY!!! For this momentous occasion, this Rolex DSSD James Cameron edition goes for a wrist-ride today. It indeed is a very picturesque version of the venerable DSSD, with its subtle blue-to-black dial colors and green DSSD label. dave:
