simonbolivar 1 Posted December 11, 2016 Anyone pull the trigger on one of these yet? The whole handstack thing never really bothered me much, but looks to me like they've made a few cosmetic improvements. Not sure if worth the risk on a new an untested movement. GenTLe 1,503 Posted December 11, 2016 Too many movement problems reported on RWI... I would wait... See last 3 pages here: https://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=354018 Apart from that, this isn't a review, so should stay in the general discussion fora

rjk 0 Posted December 26, 2016 Rwi refugee here: I bought a gen bezel, insert, and crystal because stock is terrible. Expect to spend at least $800 extra. Everything else is fantastic. The movement is smooth, hour jumps steady, starts on a flick after PR winds down, etc. Much better value for money than the 116610, plus the case lug -bracelet sel edge is sharp , unlike the v7 116610. Rx4Time 1,472 Posted December 26, 2016 That is the unfortunate thing with rep Rolex. The AR on the Cyclops is a dead giveaway. Any pics of yours with the gen insert and crystal?

Insert, crystal and entire watch looks pretty damn good in the pics. If the movement holds up, I'd say we have winner. Wear in good health.

nunu78 1,743 Posted December 27, 2016 What I read on RWI it's as unreliable or reliable(whatever you say) as any other A2836 with gmt complication. Don't wind it back (anti clockwise)and you have a watch with a good movement.

Keith1969 0 Posted May 18, 2017 Is it not correct to say that if it has the chs that it is not a 2836? I was thinking that to have the correct hand stack it had the new asian clone movement. Please correct me if I am wrong. Does it set time like a gen? Roll the crown clockwise and the hands go clockwise, unlike the eta based clones that are the opposite. Enjoy your new purchase. BTW 99% of people would never notice the AR on the xtal...this is only obvious to watch nerds like ourselves!

I am not generally a fan of Rolex and in general not a fan of the Cyclopse, but I would like to get a GMT watch with the chs, therefore I have no idea of what the dead give away is with the cyclopse. Can someone explain please? Thanks

Can someone explain please? Thanks The black hole effect is due to a double Are coating on the gen's crystal. The same crystal is used in the GMT master II and subc. Here is a good explanation of it.. https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/explanation-of-black-hole-effect.344470/
Keith1969 0 Posted May 19, 2017 I don't much care for the magnifier. I have one on my Bulova and to me it makes the view of the watch face really look obstructed. At any rate I have heard talk of the double AR creating this "black hole " effect. Any way you look at it this is a small thing. The date wheel being off center is a bigger tell...that and poor sel which my dssd has. Anway enjoy the watch as is or start modding!

Keith1969 0 Posted June 10, 2017 How is your sa3136 (or is it 3138? I forget now) holding up? Mine is still running great (sa3135). I noted elsewhere that I had it off my wrist over the weekend and expected to pick it up and have to re set it. I was pleasantly surprised to see it still running! Awesome that is has such a good power reserve.
