christaddict 0 Posted December 23, 2016 Hello everyone, This is my first post in this forum. I want to buy Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special and have some questions... First, Regarding Stainless Steel version, there are 2 versions. 1) ZF Version 2 http://www.intime01.co/zenith/2672-pilot-type-20-extra-special-v2-zf-1-1-best-edition-ss-45mm-black-dial-on-brown-asso-strap-a2892.html 2) V6F http://www.intime01.co/zenith/2341-pilot-type-20-extra-special-v6f-1-1-best-edition-ss-45mm-black-dial-on-brown-asso-strap-a2824.html To my noob eyes, ZF version's dial looks more sharp... which one is the better version of two? Second, I read from other posts that Bronze model has Miyota movement which is noisy. I see from Intime that there is V6F Bronze model with A2824 movement. http://www.intime01.co/zenith/2431-pilot-type-20-extra-special-bronze-v6f-1-1-best-edition-on-brown-asso-strap-a2824.html 1) Is this version 2 of V6F bronze model? 2) Is there any news regarding ZF's bronze model? Thanks in advance
late 0 Posted December 23, 2016 can't answer your first question but, yes, the current version of the bronze has an A2824.
Khronos 1,339 Posted December 23, 2016 How is this a review? Anyway, get the regular version by V6F. More versatile than bronze and a very very accurate rep. Your noob eyes don't realize yet that TD websites are not the place to make comparisons. V6F>ZF

Thanks in advance I think instead that the V6F looks better. The countourn of the numbers, in steel, is the right size on the V6, while thinner or nearly invisible on the ZF. Anyway it's a matter of so tiny details that I wounldn't really care. I've the bronze with Miyota inside: I put a ultra tiny amount of Moebius HP1300 in the bearing. That + the bulky case made it totally silent.
Dendo 93 Posted December 23, 2016 I would always go for a Miyota (where QA is assured) over an Asian movement (where cheapness is assured).
Foxindebox 464 Posted December 23, 2016 There are only two... I was expecting twenty extra special questions. And on top of that, they weren't even remotely special.
greg_r 81 Posted December 23, 2016 Not a review. Moved to General Discussion. I have the bronze version with Miyota. Wonderful watch.
shelby1501 103 Posted December 23, 2016 There are only two... I was expecting twenty extra special questions. And on top of that, they weren't even remotely special. You are joking right? Extra special is part of the model name. And I would agree with Khronos, KW is always more consistent in quality in comparison with ZF.

Pure B 0 Posted December 23, 2016 ZF Steel version is better than KW version Bronze is only made by KW. Miyota has been sold out, only the 2824 is available. ZF SS version and KW Bronze are the same quality. KW SS is inferior
Thrasher 135 Posted December 23, 2016 I have the V6F Bronze and love it. I think its very accurate http://www.intime01.co/zenith/2431-pilot-type-20-extra-special-bronze-v6f-1-1-best-edition-on-brown-asso-strap-a2824.html
