Walesy 0 Posted January 8, 2017 Go this during the sales, wanted the Black version initially but the blue caught my eye. Got it for around £180, down from £380 ish. This is my first ever new Seiko, the reason I say that is because I have my fathers in my collection which is more of a keep sake for sentimental reasons. I must admit, I am smitten with the watch, good weight, size and the finish is top notch, better than I expected if I am really honest. I did consider the Astron range, but better to crawl than run at present when I have never really explored the Seiko range.

k3rm87 180 Posted January 8, 2017 Great watch for that price, kinda regret selling my black version.. always reminded me of the Explorer but more wrist presence due to size.

WatchDog21 3,345 Posted January 11, 2017 I have looked that one over a few times myself. It's a Beauty. Don't be scared of the Astron. There are a few of us that have one and there are no regrets!
Mr_B 2,401 Posted January 11, 2017 Looks great buddy, are the end links solid?
Walesy 0 Posted January 12, 2017 I'd go with the black.. I have a few black bezel and faced watches, blue is not something I have really. I have looked that one over a few times myself. It's a Beauty. Don't be scared of the Astron. There are a few of us that have one and there are no regrets! I do fancy one...however I have something else in mind at the moment Gen wise...but trying to stop myself, its not working. Looks great buddy, are the end links solid? They are mate, I have my father old Seiko here and the end links are hollow which I dont like, but these are solid.
MoveAlong 23 Posted January 15, 2017 Nice! I had the polar version (Explorer II inspired, to say the least!). It is an excellent choice. As mentioned above, don't be afraid of moving up to the Astron line, they are amazing pieces (I've owned 2, down to 1 now)
