MikeMcNair 0 Posted March 15, 2011 Hope the port of Miami customs guys dont get a hold of it. Why is that?? don't scare me! most of the time miami customs grab anything they can (or so i am told) BUT, if you order from the EU or CHINA, it will likely come in through NY customs, which is no biggie. you have nothing to worry about yet. if it goes more than a week with no update on the tracking #, then worry. hardest part of this replica watch thing, for us americans, is the lack of instant gratification. or should i say, the LACK of "immediate delivery" be patient, track you item ONCE PER DAY and no more (or you will drive yourself nuts) and smile when you get your new timepiece. also, for further reference, should you need a watch brought into the country, have it sent to me, and i will send it to you. i am GUARANTEED NY customs (cause i am in PA) and have no problem helping a fellow forum member out for no fee or anything shitty like that. welcome to the forum bro, you are gonna have fun here
greg_r 83 Posted March 15, 2011 puretime aren't my favourite dealer, but you won't go far wrong with them. You'll be fine
juano 0 Posted March 15, 2011 Thanks guys i feel a little better now!!
KBH 7 Posted March 15, 2011 Most of the watches that come into South Florida seem to arrive via NYC and pass through customs there. You shouldn't have any problems.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted March 15, 2011 Shouldn't have a problem- they're trusted dealers elsewhere.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted March 17, 2011 BTW- I ordered something a week ago. Since then- no respnse to several PMs and emails! I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm not very happy.
greg_r 83 Posted March 18, 2011 .... and that's why they're not trusted here. They're okay, but Angus has a nasty habit of going missing... If you have a problem, try contacting Angus's business partner Peter at Watchstation, he may be able to help.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted March 18, 2011 Thanks Greg. One gets the feeling that there's a real problem this time in GZ. J & A sites down a long time, Angus gone missing...
jameo210369 0 Posted March 18, 2011 Juano, don't worry about the customs guys, they only speak to your neighbours and family for the first week after that the survailance is very limited maybe 1 or 2 customs officers per week will check your trash and mail. Ha ha men in black everywhere.
greg_r 83 Posted March 18, 2011 Thanks Greg. One gets the feeling that there's a real problem this time in GZ. J & A sites down a long time, Angus gone missing... J & A have been back up for a couple of days - albeit back at the old URLs: the anticipated move didn't happen. Trusted list has the current addresses. Angus going missing is not a rare event in my experience... lol@Jameo. Don't forget the black helicopters, mate
NFleischer 4,355 Posted March 18, 2011 I actually gor PART of my order today from Angus. IWC BP- ordered for a friend, DOA !! arrgghhh
NFleischer 4,355 Posted March 21, 2011 Just some more follow up- I take back any recommendations I may have given before. Angus seems too busy now promoting the new PAM's and collecting deposits on pre-orders ( a la George) to deal with existing customers. No qc pics, no tracking numbers, order not filled completely, and NO RESPONSE to numerous emails. These guys have to realize that there are alot of people out there selling the same reps for about the same prices. The only real difference being service and follow up. greg_r 83 Posted March 21, 2011 Thanks for the feedback, Noel. That confirms other reports - and is why Angus has not been offered a dealer spot here.
