We all have our foibles, how many pairs of shoes/handbags does she have that are remarkably similar to you?

She would recommend Pop's Sub Shop on Charleston Blvd. ;)

Let's be real honest with ourselves, she's right! Rolex were (and still are) getting away with fantastically lazy product design. I mean have they really designed ANY truly new watches in the last 30 odd years?

i did see a nice Daytona yachtmaster the other day, however it was a prototype I think there is only a handful out there, but you are right nothing new.

Ultimately the real reason I posted was to point out exactly how right she is. I own six sub-esq watches (GMT Master, Seadweller, LV, ND, 1680, 1665), it's the same watch.

Now in my defense, the devil is in the details. And lord knows how much I like dancing with the devil. ;)

I've got a half a watchbox with divers and I get that all the time and rarely get any sort of comment when I show her the latest but my last was a Pam 111 and she thinks it the ducks nuts.

My wife notices color, she loves my DDII with the ice blue dial and the blued steel contrasting hands and Roman numerals... Wait a min, I won that watch in a raffle on this very forum Ha!)...

Other than that, she notices the LV because green is her favorite color. So I gift her the LV and size it for her, but I sits in my box and I wind up wearing it once every 20 days. I like the look of a sub or Daytona on a woman's wrist, something about it...hmmm.

Anyway

Going to the track to play the ponies is kinda my thing... but when we go my wife will bet on the horse based on the color of the jockey's shirt...
