Silva97 0 Posted February 17, 2017 I had one recently on here, chucked in a box with one small piece of bubble wrap, quite happily rattling around in the box. Granted there was good grace to use a box, and it was second class mail so it clearly will have traveled slower and not been subject to damage. Had the same happen to me, no cheapy either, bloody expensive modded watch, just had to be thankful a box was used. We won't go into additional marks and knocks on the watch that weren't disclosed in the sale.
yllekp 1,684 Posted February 17, 2017 Answers to this is plane simple. Seller is saving on postage and goes for less possible weight. First has no respect for the buyer Second seller is tight asss, PERIOD Being a tight ass could end up pretty badly if the watch arrives damaged. However as pointed out earlier, some sellers send this way to conceal flaws that were on the watch, they can claim "Oh that happened in the post, stupid postal workers etc" (or think they can). This lack of respect for your buyer bothers me considerably.
FuzzyCoyote 2 Posted February 17, 2017 Blimey, just seen this and I would be fuming! I always pack my stuff so they could survive a crash in the delivery wagon!
Genius 281 Posted February 17, 2017 I always pack my stuff with the aim to survive either being chucked across a room or chucked into the back of a van because I've seen how postal workers and couriers handle parcels so at least one of those outcomes seems inevitable
yllekp 1,684 Posted February 17, 2017 I have to say out of 30 M2M watches bought on RWI it has only happened to me once and that was a $600 rep. It cost me €120 to resolve and I still have a tiny chip in the case. The buyer did take responsibility though. However I am a mod and people may fear the consequences, but it galls me to think that they are doing it to others. I love watches, I do not care if they are worth €10 or €10,000. They should be treated well and so should the buyer.
BrianM_73 0 Posted February 17, 2017 I'd be a raging bull if that happened to me. Was there any damage? If not, very lucky!

NCRich 13,751 Posted February 17, 2017 It is obviously not the price that concerned him, it cost exactly the same to ship in in the envelope as in the box. Just couldn't be bothered to pack it.

Tits McGee 7 Posted February 17, 2017 I was really hoping someone would attempt to justify shipping in a paper bag...... just so we could beat the shit out of him. Alas, the paper bag shippers are lazy cowards who won't stand up and be heard.

black263 228 Posted March 29, 2017 My recent purchase from a TD came with about 5 layers of bubblewrap taped tightly round it and then in an unpadded plastic envelope. Arrived fine.
CAESAR1 0 Posted March 29, 2017 That is fucking ridiculous!!! What a dirtbag!! Hope Mods @ RWI can help you out!
gran 198 Posted March 29, 2017 The sheer idiocy of people drives me to distraction. So how would you pack and send a fairly expensive, EASILY SCRATCHABLE, TITANIUM watch? Here is how an idiot fuck on RWI did. Envelope fits in the mail slot.....bad, bad feelings. No fukin box Barely padded envelope No padding, no wrapping, just sliding around with the bracelet scratching the case back and open to any sharp object it might encounter in the USPS. I honestly can't believe that anyone could be this stupid. And this is no new member, he's been around. I'd no sale this idiot right now. RWI can't come up fast enough for me to leave feedback. I feel a little better now.
Alhig72 3,016 Posted March 29, 2017 Luckily everything I've bought m2m has been packaged well, I'd be pissed if I got a watch packed like thato
