GenTLe 1,509 Posted February 19, 2017 I already have my favorite but it's not THAT much favorite respect to the other... Now that finally there's a reliable movement, I want to get THE watch that made me to love mechanical watches. I remember when I firstly saw it. I think I was like 8 or 9 years old and I was with the teacher on a trip to Milan, in the "most expensive street square" of Italy (Via Montenapoleone / via della Spiga / via Borgospesso / via S. Andrea) to interview random rich people about what they thought about Christmas... And we passed by the IWC boutique, and I remember I remained there looking at a Portuguese as a incredibly clean and attractive design... So, which of these 2 you'd get? Cheers, GenTLe

Cheers, GenTLe I'd go with the black one , but you can't go wrong with any of the two ha!
tomtom1988 63 Posted February 19, 2017 I'd have to say black but agree with the above, both are stunning!
G_sus 549 Posted February 19, 2017 If either is good, id base my decision on what else I have in my collection Got a load of dark dials in similar style watches, then go white That being said, the dark dial will 'work' with more clothing combinations, so that's what I'd plum for... MAJ75 922 Posted February 19, 2017 White with black sub dials for me, the white dial has a beautiful iridescent shimmer that the black doesn't so that would sway it.
Paparolf 45 Posted February 19, 2017 Black dial everyday mate.
phone 0 Posted February 19, 2017 Get both! Although I know you will!
jdog 1 Posted February 19, 2017 Black dial. I love that touch of blue on the timer!
2hot2trot 4 Posted February 19, 2017 White dial, summer is coming!
Nikosaldente 630 Posted February 19, 2017 As you already have 2 White dial Dressy IWC watches in your collection, you should go with the Black one! That blue chrono hand is a nice touch! We all know that eventually will get both, but start with the Black dial- White sub-dials. Cheers!
FlyingSpur 0 Posted February 19, 2017 On THIS watch... I'd have to say "Black"... certain watches look better in black while others look better in white... My 2 cents.
jdog 1 Posted February 19, 2017 Any link to the TD you saw this with? Its peaked my interest
Thelittleprince 2 Posted February 20, 2017 I personally choose the Panda(white with black sub dials) You cant go wrong with either but since its your personal taste ill just say why i went with the panda! Its looks incredibly unique! And i also have the 5001 Portuguese 7 days in black, even tho i also have the 7 days in white on its way. The panda looks very different! Maybe check your collection if you have a classy white dial or black dial and see which one is missing!
Sealdoggy 1 Posted February 20, 2017 I would go with the black
ohhelloooo 0 Posted February 20, 2017 Black dial an white subdials for me... They are a classic and just easier to match with clothes.
cogwatch 1 Posted February 20, 2017 Black on this one. I'm afraid the white might be a bit hard to see the hands easily and quickly.
rikracy 1,693 Posted February 20, 2017 Tough one!.....Both look stunning! ....but the black dial just edges ahead for me as I agree with cogwatch the white dial is harder to read.
Nickfive 4 Posted February 20, 2017 White does it for me
GT86 0 Posted February 20, 2017 Both obviously! Thinking the white with white shirt dark suit combo would be razor sharp though...
GenTLe 1,509 Posted February 20, 2017 So, the results also match my personal taste: both are beautiful, with a little preference for the black one. Black will be Any link to the TD you saw this with? Its peaked my interest Not important as all the TDs can have them. By the way I have seen them at Ryan's site (TD over RWI): http://www.intime01.co/216-portuguese Pictures I put are from a slightly different models, the ones repped have both small hands in blue (which is a different IWC reincarnation, also existing in gen). Maybe I will be able to get a grey small hand to make it a bit different, let's see
brang1 4,025 Posted February 20, 2017 white, cleaner, blacks too common
dilip 0 Posted February 20, 2017 Not a big panda fan here. But I ageee with previous posts, get both and see which gets most wrist time. Isn't that what the rep game is all about?
digger2 0 Posted February 20, 2017 This model looks better with the black dial I think
