mrroboto790 0 Posted February 20, 2017 So, the Steelfish replica's come with the second hand with the box (forget formal name). However, the gen comes with an arrow hand. Now, I know that there was a run with the box hands, but supposedly the numbers are heavily favoring the arrow. Why, then, do the reps continue to have the box hand? Is there a Steelfish V3? I've only seen it on perfect clones so far, and it's cheap, and so tempting... Is there somewhere that sells the arrow hands?
TigersFan 0 Posted February 27, 2017 I just ordered a Steelfish with the box second hand. Based on my research the arrow second hand was introduced some time in 2007. http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_details/Superocean_186.html

mrroboto790 0 Posted March 6, 2017 Ah, thank you. I knew it wasn't a flaw because I've seen the gens with them, but to me it seems like an arrow hand pulls off the "gen-look" more accurately. So is there somewhere I could get them? Or eBay, question is would it fit?

SliceMaster 281 Posted March 6, 2017 I bought this one with arrow-tipped second hand years ago from the late Robert, it is prob. one of the best watches I ever had even if it has a 21J movement, this one is supergood
Peter0516 0 Posted March 15, 2017 As other forum posters wrote, Breitling updated the second hands from square-tipped to pointer-tipped in the Superocean and Superocean Steelfish in early 2007 i believe . My gen has pointer tipped
