Omega Aqua Terra or Tudor Pelagos?

Recommended Posts

wizzzard

Evening All...need your advice...

As per the title... there's a decision to be made and I need your help. I am looking for a new daily work watch and I keep looking at these two. Both black dials (probably the 15k gauss AT version)...

Any opinions on which one I should get? Do you have any pics of strap alternatives?

Cheers

As someone who owns both, I would buy the Pelagos first. It's a really high quality rep. You will want both eventually.

Here's the "cheapy" I picked up from NCRich. Runs well, looks great, and the lume lasted all night:

I owned the the 15000 Gauss AT. I owned a Pelagos too which I sold. I now own another Pelagos. It is a chunky dive watch without the virtues of an AT. But between the two, Pelagos is the most essential.

Chunky? Compared to the Bronzo, it is absolutely petite...

You need both, as one is considered a "dress" watch, the other a "tool" watch

Great question. I was 'off' reps for a couple of years and now that I'm back, these two are both at the top of my list! Are most TDs carrying top notch versions of both?

You are right. Compared to an AT or even a sub it, a Pelagos feels a bit chunkier.

AT is a bit more dressier, Pelagos is a classic piece that could be dressed up or down and has a great sport look to it.

One of the guys at work just picked up an AT black tuxedo dial. Gorgeous!

Hard one, but I think the Aquaterra would just get it for its flexibility. Plus I'm particularly taken by the bond edition shield embossed dial as well as the grey tuxedo dial.
