2836 - auto working, V.low power reserve

Recommended Posts

Got a strange issue with a V7 sub,

auto wind working ok, set the watch down for a small length of time and watch stops. Manual wind doesn't appear to wind the watch or get it started.

Anyone shed any light on the issue? I've had a search online which says that the reversing gear can sometimes have issues but can't work out why it won't hold ANY manual wind.

Thanks

Get it serviced, there's a trusted dealers list "mods and more" for this kind of thing

It would appear at certain angles it can be manually wound and starts to tick but stops almost straight away. So reversing gear looks like the issue?

Hand winding with the auto bridge attached and the rotor moves so this would suggest the reversing gears. Remove the rotor wheel and auto bridge and tried manually winding and it won't start. Give it a shake get the escapement moving and is starts and stops within 20 seconds.... This would suggest that its not getting any power to it
