mondeov6 0 Posted March 21, 2011 Visited and old "watch crazy" friend today and he gave me a watch that is a bit different. It was a cheapie e-bay watch and he did not like it much since as he said, "there is to bloody much of my hairy arm showing through the watch". I kind of liked the movement so I took it off his hands. I must admit I am not to keen on seeing my slightly freckled but not-so-hairy arm through the watch either. Maybe it just takes some getting used to. Could perhaps be a nice dress watch. If not...well I'll just pass it on...... There was no strap on the watch so I did put it on a spare brown rep strap. Not the perfect combo but it will do. Not really sure of what to make of this "thing"...do I love it or do I "hate" it... Size is 50mm. It has a screw down crown. You wind the watch clockwise and set time anti clockwise. A bit stupid since you have to go all the way round again if you miss the correct minute. (You can't turn the hands backwards). But maybe that is how these "Bridge movements" are constructed...I simply do not know. A couple of pics...
brucezx11 0 Posted March 21, 2011 I like it. Its different. Im not too sure on the movement but the watch itself I find interesting. Thanks for sharing.

mondeov6 0 Posted March 21, 2011 Quite a few members seem to like this so I called my friend to ask wich e-bay seller he got it from. Here is a link: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/gmnachlass/m.html?_...om=&_ipg=25 He did pay about 30 Euro (about 39$) for this one. It is a typicall "GermAsian" e-bay brand, "Graf von Monte Wehro". There are more models with bridge movements. I actually had another GvMW once and they are not that bad. Quite nicely built. Not to bad considering the price!
