SuperbMonster 4 Posted June 5, 2017 I've always quite liked Bell & Ross but noticed that they're not that popular on here. See very little M2M, incoming, recent reviews etc. Just wondered if it's because they're poor reps or just because they've fallen out of fashion somewhat? malkie 15 Posted June 5, 2017 B&R are not poor reps, they are very good. I owned a gen BR-02 and a rep at the same time. The only difference I could note was the orange on the gen was a little brighter. I have also owned a rep Aviator which was superb. Fallen out of fashion is more likely. GenTLe 1,501 Posted June 5, 2017 Some of the B&R are top quality rep. The BR02 have been super rep, the 03 type aviation too, with even the gen movement inside, and the new ones with the Miyota 9015 are great too. The 123 is gorgeous even if not a super rep because they used the Miyota 9015 instead of the Asian 2892 (same movement of the gen) but still it's a fantastic watch. Simply they are not for all with their shape :)
SuperbMonster 4 Posted June 5, 2017 That's good to know. I guess they're a bit Marmite but I'm surprised there aren't more about.
Nikosaldente 630 Posted June 5, 2017 I have a B&R-02/92 that's a super rep, with a 2824-2 inside! Truly a Great Watch to own!
SuperbMonster 4 Posted June 5, 2017 Very nice indeed Nikos. I like the 03-92s, especially the military type. I think they look awesome on a green nylon strap.

cvp3 2,103 Posted June 6, 2017 BR-02/92 is the only one I ever owned and kept for more than 2 years. Looks big, wears much smaller and has presence.
nofitstate 27 Posted June 6, 2017 I have 2 Br02 which are so nice I'd never consider selling them!
greg_r 81 Posted June 6, 2017 I have a couple of B&R watches. Some of the reps are pretty damned good. BR01 on gen strap: BR02 (this one is about 9 years old)
Chiquita Fanjita 1,782 Posted June 6, 2017 I have a BR01 Heritage that looks great. I fitted a gen strap and buckle on it and it looks even better ;)
ShovelnTC 31 Posted June 6, 2017 Still loving mine and it gets more compliments than any of my other watches.
ag69 0 Posted June 6, 2017 I picked up a 21j BR1 here from M2M to try it out. Pretty good watch given it's a 21j.
edwinowl 180 Posted June 6, 2017 As mentioned the BR 02 is an awesome rep and probably the only one I'd consider buying
Left Coast Guy 24 Posted June 6, 2017 B&R seems to go in and out of favor on the boards. When I first started, there was some solid BR01 reps that were close to super reps, then it got quiet for a while, and there were reports from the factories that B&R was being phased out for newer brands....which is right about the time Tudors started rolling out. Then maybe 18 months ago, there was group on RWI that pushed to get a new BR03 rep made -- I think they went as far as to help source a gen, send to a factory and organize a group to guarantee a batch buy. That batch is the latest Miyota 9015 model you'll see on the TD sites -- I guess there are some minor flaws in the shape/size of the bezel, but otherwise a very solid rep. If you're going to buy one, I'd highly recommend the BR03's, they are very nice reps and probably you're best bet when it comes to B&Rs
SuperbMonster 4 Posted June 6, 2017 I have a couple of B&R watches. Some of the reps are pretty damned good. BR01 on gen strap: BR02 (this one is about 9 years old) They're both lovely. The gen strap really sets the 01 off.

I'm pretty sure prices for gen B&R have gone down over the years but might just be my imagination. Thanks all for the responses and pics, Looks like it will be moving up my wishlist. Xpletiv 16 Posted June 6, 2017 That should be fairly easy for the factories to do, no?
GenTLe 1,501 Posted June 6, 2017 That should be fairly easy for the factories to do, no? The BR126 Aeronvale? Not at all. That one has inside a 2894, which is a 2892 which has on top a Dupraz Dubois chrono module. there is no such movement in the rep domain. A modified 7750 would be much thicker so no way. At most they could use a handwind chrono but again... Plus the "venus 75" is not a date movement. So no. But THIS has more potential to be done (a2892 modified):
Xpletiv 16 Posted June 7, 2017 Man, oh man, am I out of touch with movements..... Alright, then I'll at least take that one with the modified... as long as it's reliable. and, then, without a DW? Hmmmm, still kind of looking the same, but just missing the DW. Yup, that would definitely work, too!
FL13 511 Posted June 7, 2017 I really want a BR126 Aeronvale.... That's lovely. If it were a 40mm instead of 43mm I'd have bought one already. I just can't do the size. :(
