Mike on a bike 0 Posted June 7, 2017 Auction and raffles two different things,I do these often no problem administrating if need be .
Wriggles 12 Posted June 7, 2017 I think raffle is a good idea. At a tenner a pop would certainly garner more funds, no difference from the VIP raffle, only thing would be a lot more work to handle each one considering the number of payments, logging of payees etc. PJ already said he is busy with other commitments also so maybe not ideal
narikaa 129 Posted June 7, 2017 Maybe a nod from the Boss and the ascension of a raffle angel I see a plan taking shape

northantsrich 1 Posted June 7, 2017 Happy to bid or buy anything if the money is going to a good cause
Not Quite Dead 9 Posted June 7, 2017 My tuppence worth is that a tenner a ticket is going to have widespread appeal and accrue more total funds than even pricing them with a donation possibility or at inflated prices. Minor variation on the VIP competitions and we can always set a ticket limit depending on watch. Like the idea that we do something special that brings a smile at a time when we have to deal with terrorist events and a general election that I think is going to make me want to hide. PhillyRock 0 Posted June 9, 2017 I miss that cranky bastard. He always had a way with words and could cut people in half with a sentence. I hope he's resting well and smiling knowing there will never be another "HIM".

pj1312 0 Posted June 13, 2017 Well from memory there's some right bargains there at a "long'un" each Though I suppose there are no rules that would preclude a charitable enhancement to any payment It's all going to Cancer Research UK (it's not as if PJ is about to run off and spend it all on fried Mars Bars ) . [Haha, just coz im scottish doesnt mean we all eat that shite, doesnt it sound disgusting tho??? i will be posting a cheque and letter to CRUK, when it is all done, and ill show the letter i recieve from them, just to show no mars bars where harmed in the process of these sales ...lol

WatchaholicMallorca 2 Posted June 22, 2017 Just a thought, before these pieces get sold would be good to create a sticky in my collection just showing them all off, would also be a good way to stir up some interest before the sale.
