Rolex Deepsea advice

Recommended Posts

ssr

I am looking to purchase a Rolex Deep sea, but unsure about the difference in qualities from the different trusted sellers. I have purchased mor than a dozen from Narikka for myself and others. Would I see the difference between Narikka's deep sea and for e.g. the Trusty $468 model.

Your assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

There's a couple of things worth noting here:

1: all the dealers have access to pretty much the same stuff, so a noobfactory (for example) Deepsea from Trusty is going to be the same as a noobfactory Deepsea from Toro, or whoever.

2: there are a number of options with popular watches as several makers produce them. Differences range from the obviously visible (dial/case/bezel etc) to the less visible (movement). The cheaper models tend to run low-beat 21J movements, which are fine for the money, but the sweep of the seconds hand is going to be jerkier than a high-beat movement. The latter is often going to be generally better quality too (especially in the case of Asian clone ETA or Sellita movements).

Have a read of the Rolex reviews section - there are plenty of DSSD reviews in there and it will give you a better idea of what's available.
